Create a desktop experience where users can earn points. Prior to this users were only able to earn points via our family of mobile apps.
Points can be earned by watching videos, completing daily tasks and entering sweepstakes.

Watch & Earn
A new feature to desktop: our goal was to recreate the Perk app video experience for web.
Similar to YouTube but different in that we reward users for watching.
— OBJECTIVE B
In-app redeem rewards: Allow users to manage their points and redeem gift cards directly in mobile perk.com and each Perk app. Previously, redeeming was done only perk.com desktop.
The Perk family of 7 apps were developed and launched at different times. Because of the staggered nature some apps were developed with different APIs. In order to add a redeem/rewards feature for each app would require a massive amount of time and resources to impliment.
In order to minimize loss and provide a cohesive experience across platforms, our solution was to implement a web framework into each Perk app.
The mobile version of Perk.com's Rewards section would be displayed below the native app navigation header.
We were solving a variety of creative problems along the way and I had the opportunity to work with amazingly passionate people. This documentation is the result of a lot of effort and expertise of a talented team of engineers and product managers.
